On this evening in 1989

Ringo Starr begins his first tour

since The Beatles stopped touring in 1966

introducing his "All-Starr Band" of Seventies icons

at Park Central Amphitheater, Dallas, TX, USA

Before the tour...Ringo was quoted saying

''I was real nervous before I went on…

''I kept thinking…

What's it like? What do you do?

All those madnesses go through your brain…

But once you're out there…

You see that people haven't come to see you get nervous….

They've come to have a good time…

And we're having a good time too!''

The group had Levon Helm and Jim Keltner on drums

Mr. Starr would walk to the front of the stage
