Eric Clapton Lands Iceland's Biggest Salmon of the Season

August 9, 2016

On this past August 5th

Eric Clapton was on a fly-fishing trip

enjoying the salmon rivers along Iceland’s Vatnsdalsá River

when he caught no ordinary salmon

The fish measured 108 centimeters / 42.5 inches and weighed 28 pounds

making it Iceland's biggest salmon caught this season

As the story goes

Eric had to run about one kilometer down the river

once the salmon was hooked

as it kept swimming further away

It took half an hour to land before Eric was finally able to draw it ashore
