Woodstock '94 commemorated the 25th anniversary of the original Woodstock festival this weekend in 1994

August 11, 2016

During this weekend in 1994

Woodstock 2

officially Woodstock '94

rocked upstate New York once again

The event took place on Winston Farm in Saugerties

about 100 miles north of New York City and 10 miles from Woodstock - NY

The festival was a success drawing a crowd of about 350,000

The Woodstock '94 music festival was promoted

as '2 More Days of Peace and Music'

to commemorate the 25th anniversary

of the original 1969 'Woodstock Music & Art Fair'

Informally, the 'Woodstock Festival' or simply 'Woodstock'

The concert was originally scheduled

for Saturday and Sunday of August 13th and 14th

A third day of Friday August 12th was added later

The weather was rainy that weekend

By Saturday much of the field had turned into mud
