recorded vanity discs at a small studio

in an electronics shop named

Phillips' Sound Recording Services

on July 14th in 1958

The studio was in the house of

Percy Francis Phillips and his family

located at 38 Kensington

in Kensington, Liverpool, England

The band recorded 'That'll Be The Day'

and 'In Spite Of Danger' in one take each

The names of the tunes

and the song's writers

were hand written on the label

Each band member

for a week before passing it on
